The cover logo started life as a pencil sketch Scott did.
From early conversations around the artwork we decided that if we were going to feature physical objects we wanted to actually create ‘real’ things, and not digitally fake anything.
Scott found a number of old books with blank covers and we had the logo gold foil blocked and embossed into the covers of the books at Glasgow Press.
One of these went on to be photographed for the finished album cover.
For the alternate Limited Edition version of the cover we wrapped the book in some French Linen as if it was precious object.
We made a rubber stamp of the logo that was then stamped onto the surface of the linen.
